Gay Milan the best lgbtq+ hotels, bars, clubs more
Milan is pure, understated sophistication. Italy's second-largest city is the pointed side of cutting-edge when it comes to fashion, thanks to its annual Fashion Week, making it one of the three fashion capitals of the nature. All this is apparent year-round through the well-dressed populace and the superabundance of fashion shops lining its streets. However, Milan is also a classically gorgeous Italian city, brimming with art, history, fine cuisine, and elevated culture in general.
Milan is unashamedly LGBTQ+, simply because where there is fashion, there are gays. In fact, the city has earned the moniker of “the gay capital of Italy.” Lacking the Vatican looming over it like a disapproving parent, Milan’s LGBTQ+ community has the liberty to be more visible than Rome’s and it has many bars, clubs and events making it worthy of a weekend stay.
In short, Milan is the perfect destination for LGBTQ+ travelers wishing to explore Italian identity in more depth, sample being on the catwalk and delight in the best gay nightlife scene in Italy.
Pride month is approaching fast! To honour this event and to celebrate diversity in my hometown, I would like to share this guide to lgbtq+ Milan, written in collaboration with two LGBT friends.
What are you doing Margherita! Youre not same-sex attracted, why are you writing a reference to Gay Milan? Before reading any further, I would like to clarify that this mentor was written together with two friends of mine who belong to the LGBT community in Milan, but who would rather not be named because of fear of bullying and discrimination in their workplace.
And this is why sharing guides of LGBT-friendly places is so important you may spot Milan as an open, friendly, diverse city, but the truth is that discrimination is show more than ever, and LGBT individuals face hatred and abuse on a daily basis.I detect as a vertical ally, and I am horrified by the idea that people are existence discriminated on the basis of gender and sexual preferences this is why I decided to put together this gay Milan guide, to provide a list of safe spaces for LGBT individuals.

Although you have limited selection (typically different dishes for each course) these menus are an inexpensive option (approx. €) for having a proper meal and getting a taste of the Italian cuisine. Another interesting option are the Happy Hours in the early evening offered by many lounge bars. Typically, when you arrange a drink you obtain a complimentary plate with small snacks ('aperitivo') or you can help yourself to the buffet at the bar. ↑ Little Italy Daily – and – / Popular gay-friendly pizzeria and trattoria.
