FIND THE TOP-RATED AGENT IN YOUR CITY
This website was exactly what I needed exactly when I needed it. Thank you for everything you do. I’ll be back next time I necessitate real estate services and I have recommended to others already!
Kateri - Frederick, MarylandThanks for providing this platform to connect with amazing real estate agents!
Lee - San Francisco, CaliforniaGayRealEstate was easy to use and gave us good suggestions.
Lisa - Arlington, VirginiaWe have not purchased yet..,we were contacted very promptly and we are absolutely thrilled with the agent we are active with. We’re moving from Ohio to the Bay Area and we feel supported and cared for by someone in our community. We had started functional with an agent that came highly recommended from a acquaintance (neither the friend or spook are queer) and we just weren’t feeling seen and understood. We could not be more relieved and are full of hope that this move is not only possible for us, but going to happen with, well, quite frankly the grab no crap, get-sh*t-done energy of an old dyke. Thank y’all for existing and being
Massive Study Finds No Solo Genetic Cause of Homosexual Sexual Behavior
Few aspects of human biology are as complex—or politically fraught—as sexual orientation. A clear genetic link would suggest that gay people are “born this way,” as opposed to having made a lifestyle choice. Yet some fear that such a finding could be misused to “cure” homosexuality, and most research teams contain shied away from tackling the topic.
Now a modern study claims to dispel the notion that a single gene or handful of genes make a person prone to gay behavior. The analysis, which examined the genomes of nearly half a million men and women, set up that although genetics are certainly involved in who people choose to hold sex with, there are no specific genetic predictors. Yet some researchers doubt whether the analysis, which looked at genes related with sexual activity rather than attraction, can attract any real conclusions about sexual orientation.
“The message should remain the same that this is a complex behavior that genetics definitely plays a par
Adult LGBT Population in the United States
This report provides estimates of the number and percent of the U.S. grown-up population that identifies as LGBT, overall, as well as by age. Estimates of LGBT adults at the national, state, and regional levels are included. We rely on BRFSS data for these estimates. Pooling multiple years of data provides more stable estimates—particularly at the state level.
Combining BRFSS data, we estimate that % of U.S. adults identify as LGBT. Further, we estimate that there are almost million (13,,) LGBT adults in the U.S.
Regions and States
LGBT people reside in all regions of the U.S. (Table 2 and Figure 2). Consistent with the overall population in the United States, more LGBT adults live in the South than in any other region. More than half (%) of LGBT people in the U.S. dwell in the Midwest (%) and South (%), including million in the Midwest and million in the South. About one-quarter (%) of LGBT adults reside in the West, approximately million people. Less than one in five (%) LGBT adults exist in the Northeast ( million).

Why Are People Gay? Homosexual By Choice or Is Being Gay Genetic?
Estimates as to the number of gay people in the population range from 1-in to 1-in, so why are some people gay? Are they gay by choice or is creature gay genetic?
The simplest respond is to look at the definition of the word "gay." The legal title gay is a synonym for homosexual, which is defined as,1,2
"Of, pertaining to, or exhibiting sexual need or behavior directed toward a person or persons of one's own sex."
In other words, % of people experience same-sex sexual attraction or behavior; of course, this doesn't converse to what makes people gay. No one knows for certain why any individual is gay, but the current thought is that being gay is not a choice. (read: Cure the Gay: Homosexual Conversion Therapy – Concrete or Hoax?) The reasons people are gay are both physiological and psychological.
Why Are People Gay? – Physiology
Modern science is productive to show that genetics is one of the causes of being homosexual, although some science conflicts in this area. According to Psychology Today,3
"In recent years, evidence has accumulated
