Gay netflix series

How do I begin to describe the experience of crawling through the desert of my broken thought in search of gender non-conforming characters for this month&#;s streaming guide, I guess I could begin by calling it difficult, while also educational! When there&#;s nothing big to center the guide around, I am forced to stare deeply into every free show in the entire universe in search of a bit lesbian traits and it turns out many of them possess been here all along! But often in ways that are kind of ambiguous, not important enough for us to realize about it until this month&#;s research&#; and in most cases, I can&#;t figure out if they&#;re gonna do anything else gay in the future. One can only pray.

That said, September is a month with some great stuff coming your way in general, even though that stuff is not centered on queer women, including stuff with queer male characters and stuff starring queer female actors. Normally I wouldn&#;t even mention this stuff but&#; desperate times! There&#;s gonna be three (3) Ryan Murphy projects such as horror show Grotesquerie, starring out actors Neicy Nash-Be

Why simply marathon a fine television show when you could marathon a great lesbian show on Netflix or a show with some element of lesbians, trans people, bisexuality, pansexuality or queerness within it? Netflix&#;s original programming is chock full of LGBTQ-inclusive TV shows, lesbian series and wlw TV shows, and although they also host a variety of content produced by other studios and networks, this list is focused on TV series developed by or in partnership with Netflix, because those are the shows you can mostly expect to uncover on Netflix channels worldwide and indefinitely.

Finding good queer media is hard. Sometimes you’re looking for a good fantasy show that happens to star a lesbian lead. Other times, you’re looking for high drama featuring gay passion, or a sitcom with trans visibility. We know it’s hard to battle with streaming services’ slim LGBTQ categories, and more complex to disseminate what exactly is LGBTQ about them from brief descriptors. It’s even more challenging to remain unspoiled if you wish to know what you’re getting into before you dive in.

As such, we’ve compiled a list of our favorite LGBTQ shows currently on Netflix. Each show here features a queer nature in a starring role, most with ongoing storylines throughout the series. There’s a little something for everyone, from lighthearted animation to prestige drama, and we did our best to encompass a selection that represents a broad amount of the queer community. We’ve also done our best to involve why each entry made it on the list without giving away too much—some of these storylines don’t arise until well into the series, so we want to keep you as unspoiled as workable.
