Disneyland announced Thursday, April 13 that it will hold its first officially sanctioned Pride Nite as an after-hours ticketed event.
This is a departure for Disneyland Anaheim, which has allowed unofficial events such as the annual Gay Days celebration, but has never held an official event on its own.

Get ready for some magically queer joy when Anaheim Lgbtq+ Days goes down at Disneyland from Friday, September 16 to Sunday, September Thousands of Diverse park-hoppers from California and all over the country are expected to converge on the theme park to exposure the annual three-day event.
Festivities commence on Friday at noon with the opening of the Gay Days Welcome Center/ Expo at the Grand Californian Hotel. Unofficial "Gay Days" in the park hold happened for decades. However, the official in-park advocacy of LGBTQ+ guests generally stopped with shirts, hats and cupcakes until now.
On April 13, Disneyland announced it will host its first-ever official Pride events this June during Movement Month. Disneyland After Dark: Pride Nite joins a growing list of all-ages, after-hours events held at the Southern California theme park, including Star Wars Nite and Throwback Nite.
"I love the treats, so I'm pretty excited about the food.
